Jersey Lily

(Amaryllis belladonna)

The bulbous perennial bears showy funnel-shaped lilies in clusters of 4-12 on naked stems. The erect, purplish-red and green stems are covered with dull green, narrowly strap-shaped leaves after the flowers appear. The plant needs very little attention and can be grown in beds, borders and containers. It looks good in the patio.
