These slightly recurved lilies are found to commonly grow along the road, in moist woodlands and meadows, along streams and in marshy regions. The chandeliers of shimmering, nodding, trumpet-shaped blooms make the plant look striking. The leaves are lance-shaped, flat and whorled. Grow the herbaceous perennial for its showy flowers.
Having average water needs, the plant needs to be watered regularly, avoiding sogginess.
You can cut back spent blooms to encourage flowering.
Mulch in late spring and refresh in mid-summer. Feed a fertilizer formulated for tomatoes and potatoes at the same time.
