The semi-evergreen shrub looks striking with its upright habit and greenish-brown arching stems. The pale green leaves are made of 5-7 leaflets. The roses have a pungent smell and are followed by round, red hips. It can be used in barrier planting due to its thorny nature.

Water it deeply and less often.
Avoid extreme pruning. Merely shortening the strong shoots in summer should be enough. Leave the twigs on the plant as they produce ample flowers.
Apply a complete fertilizer during summer before new growth begins.
Cold Hardiness: Through zone 5
