(Lilium parvum)

The native of Sierra Nevada, that is also known by the name Sierra Tiger Lily, grows in mountainous forests, willow thickets, wet meadows and areas near streams. The small, upward-facing flowers are more bell-shaped than the other species of lilies. The creeping perennial herb bears light green, narrow and scattered leaves. It can tolerate seasonal flooding and is extremely resilient.
