Sit down. I Guano tell you a story.

Sorry I couldn’t resist.

Guano is a Quechua word that literally means “bat-poop”, “seabird crap” or “seabird droppings” depending on your ancient Inca translation.

Guano is the dung of seals, seabirds or bats. Plain and simple.

So why do we care? Two reasons: nitrogen and phosphorus. Basically bat poop makes for delicious organic herbs and vegetables, and bigger better houseplants. Hearty hibiscus blooms will love it too. Anything you grow organic, can benefit from a good fertilizer.

Lawn trouble? I’ve been told a little guano goes a long way.

Bat guano fertilizer is 100% organic. They make it in Texas, they make it in South America, they make it anywhere bats live, essentially.

STAY TUNED FOR MY GUANO FERTILIZER TEST:

I’m going to order some bat guano and test it in an herb garden. I’ll post the photos here.

Stay tuned if you guano know more.
