The seeds are big and can be easily planted, even by tiny hands, making sunflowers a good family planting project as well. There are a lot of different sizes and varieties of sunflowers, so if you want to grow them you can make some choices about which ones you’d like to have in your yard or garden. Birds, squirrels, and rodents like to eat sunflower seeds just as much as people do.
