Just because a garden is organic doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be weeded on a regular basis. I haven’t seen ‘a hoe’ on any list of harmful chemicals that shouldn’t be introduced into our bodies. And when I say hoe I am referring to the gardening tool that used to be the only thing that word applied to. Thank you very much.
How Green Is Your Garden
Denver landscaping doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to shrubs, and trees and pretty flowers. Particularly if what you’re looking for is not only to beautify your yard, but to raise your own organic vegetables for consumption. Where anyone ever got the idea that an organic garden should look unkempt is beyond me. Weeds will take over any garden if not tended to. They will choke out the roots of your vegetables or those pretty flowers we talked about. You don’t have to use weed killers if you simply spend a little bit of time in your garden every couple of days to get rid of the weeds that poke their ugly heads through the soil. By keeping up with them every several days you won’t have a huge weeding task awaiting you the next time you visit your garden. Let it go for week or two however; and you’re going to be out there for some time.
Colorado Rocky Mountain Flowers
Purples and blues of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Flower can border your vegetable garden to give it a little bit of zip and color if you like. There are even certain species of flowers that discourage animals from crossing over into your garden; a simple search on the Internet can bring these types of flowers to your attention and not only accent your garden, but help to keep it safe from the neighborhood wildlife riffraff. Just because your vegetable garden is organic, don’t forget that that doesn’t rule out fertilizer. You want your veggies to grow nice and big so that you can thoroughly enjoy them don’t you? An organic gardener’s guide to fertilizers can be found on line as well.
Keep your organic garden looking fresh and cared for and your vegetables will turn out the same.
