Do you love facial masks but don’t want to pay for expensive store brands or spa treatments? No worries. You can make your own facial mask right in the comfort of your own home, using ingredients that you have or can easily get at the grocery store!
One of the most popular homemade facial masks is made from honey. Open your pores with a warm, wet cloth, then apply the honey and leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes. Use warm water to rinse it back off and then use some cold water to close your pores back up. Once a week is recommended.
Maybe honey’s not your style? There are a lot of other options you can explore.
Egg, milk, and olive oil mixed together work well, as do grapes, or olive oil and water to help make your skin less dry.
Oatmeal is another good choice that a lot of people use because of its tightening properties – but it can make your skin flushed for a bit, so don’t use it right before a special occasion.
If you like something fruity, you can make a banana and avocado mask that comes with yogurt and olive oil, and you can lighten those dark circles under your eyes with grated potato wrapped in cheesecloth.
Pureed strawberries, cream, and honey works well also. If you blend it up and don’t want to put it on your face, you can always eat it.
