Make Your Own Body Scrub It’s Easy!
Want a spa-quality scrub without the cost of the spa? Or the scrub? It is super easy to make your own body scrub at home, and for just a fraction of the cost.
Good exfoliating options include salt, sugar, and coffee. If you want something lighter that is not as harsh on your skin but will still exfoliate well, you can use crushed almonds (they can bother very sensitive skin), yogurt or milk (for their lactic acid), oatmeal, or flax seed. You’ll also want your scrub to moisturize. Easy ways – and inexpensive ways – to do that include adding oils to your exfoliating scrub. You want the mixture to be slushy and not too dry, but you also want to make sure that it’s not all that oily.
After you massage the mixture into your skin and then rinse it off the grains will disappear but the moisture will stay. Most people also like to add a fragrance into their body scrub, and your options for that are virtually limitless. You can use perfume oils or you can also use essential oils – like the kind of oils used for aromatherapy. These oils can be irritating on the face but they work just fine for the body.
You can also add in things like baking soda, clay, seaweed, or honey, as they all have good properties to help cleanse and clarify your skin.

I’ll have to try this out. I’ve made others that used coffee in the past, and never made more…although I don’t know why because they are very effective. Thanks for the memory jog!
