Absolutely coffee work well to lower your PH! Just be sure that your coffee is organic from the go. 
Coffee grounds are also great to keep cats out of your garden. Some people swear that ants, snails and slugs will steer clear of it as well. 
Good luck with your garden and I hope you will stop by often.</description>
