So with the weather being less than ideal for growing vegetables you may be asking yourself what options you have for an indoor garden. For many people hydroponics may be the first thing that comes to mind, especially with the easy all in one system that they are selling now.

But what exactly is hydroponics?
The quick answer is hydroponics is a way to grow vegetables, and other plants, using mineral infused water instead of soil and a grow light or natural light.

I personally prefer soil gardens, even indoors, to hydroponics. However, there are a lot of benefits to hydroponics including being less messy, and harvesting your vegetables in a short amount of time.  So. it should defiantly be a consideration.

Now before you go and buy an all in one system for a ridiculous amount of money, think about setting up a hydroponics garden yourself.  It is fairly simple and you can save yourself quite a bit of cash.

Gardens can range from one bucket to really elaborate growing operations.

So, if hydroponics is something that you are interested in trying I suggest going to your local hydroponics store and talking with them.  They can get you set up in no time at all and before you know it you will be enjoying the fruits of your labor.
