How To Attract Hummingbirds
Attract more hummingbirds and get rid of aphids!
I learned something new today. Hummingbirds get their main nutrition from small insects including aphids. They tend to not be intrusive to home gardens, which makes them perfect for controlling those small, annoying insects that like to hang around vegetables. They are also really easy to attract!
Many of you probably already have few hummingbird feeders in your yard which is a great start. They are also attracted to flowers such as honeysuckle, morning glory, jasmine, lavender, bee balm, and fuchsia.
Now those freeloading birds can start earning all that free nectar you have been supplying by helping control your insects.
Here’s a picture of a hummingbird that crash landed in our yard.
